Why Morpheus?

We all have them. 

The few movies that we watch again and again. 

We know every word of key dialogues, feeling attached to the main characters and their journey. Almost as if we are one of them. And amongst them all, there is one character we feel particularly fond of. I cannot reasonably guess how many times I watched "The Matrix", but safe to say it was more than once...

Everyone who got into the movie - which certainly defined a new era of cinematic innovation (think the 360° slow-motion scenes!) - was all in on Neo, Trinity and the mysterious Morpheus. He was my hero in the movie, the character who fascinated me the most. 

He is the believer in the prophecy. Nothing and nobody can deter him. He is intense, committed and loyal. A strong willed individual, that shows and lives his commitment through adversity and the victories. He is also the key facilitator of Neo making the choice of whether he wants to learn more about the matrix, or just forget about it all and continue to live his life. A life that seems confusing, bizarre at times. Morpheus asks Neo the most difficult question to facilitate his journey to "The One".  What if Neo (or Mr. Anderson) hadn't trusted Morpheus and his unwavering belief in the Prophecy?

Well, there'd be no movie I guess...

Naming my Consulting company after Morpheus seemed only fitting. I like to ask difficult questions, think of myself as committed (at times intense) and determined. I recognize  "The One" when I see them.

Sure, I could have also chosen the angle of Greek Mythology and Morpheus, the God of Dreams. I am a pretty ambitious dreamer too, but that is for when we talk about how Morpheus Management Consulting can help you to realize your business potential and dreams.
